FedEx Distribution Center Being Built on Bartlett

For weeks, backhoes and dumptrucks have been scaping the land at 300 Bartlett St. in Northborough. Close to the Marlborough line, this some 23 and-a-half acres of land is being leveled and cleared to make way for a FedEx freight and distribution facility, according to Town Planner Kathy Joubert.

The FedEx building will be a sprawling 43,000 square feet.

Owned by the Trustees of the Northborough Land Realty Trust, the applicants - the Jones Development Company - were approved after a public meeting in June 21, when "no party of interest or abutters were present."

The application indicates that the earth removal should be done by December of this year.
