Having a bad day...

Thought and Poem

Thought and Poem

Bad days…we all have had them. You know when these kinds of days are going to happen as when you step out of bed you get this gnawing feeling and you wonder what is going to happen unexpectedly during your day.

With life the way it is today, one has to be prepared for these moments at all times…make no mistake about it. When you leave your home…make sure you have on clean underwear…you have eaten or brought something to much on…make sure you have turned off crockpots, ovens, or anything that you use to cook thinking you will be home to shut it off soon…and make sure you go to the restroom. These are all must dos anytime you leave your home! Failing to comply with these “rules” driven into our heads by concerned and loving parents when we lived at home…will…lead…to…consequences. I put myself in the “corner” after I got home!

Have you ever had one of those days…
When nothing is going your way…
It’s so bad you want to runaway…
You’d be crazy if you stayed?

Well today was this kind if day where it hits the mark...
When I shut my car off and put my car in park...
It wouldn’t move from the spot...
I hit the jackpot.

I didn’t eat before I left home...
I left my pain meds at home...
I didn’t use the ladies’ room before I left home...
And I left my purse at home...Bingo!

Thought it couldn’t get any worse than this...
We called for a tow truck to assist...
All we had to do now was sit in the hot sun as other cars went zooming by...
But I was strong...I didn’t say any bad words and...I didn’t freak out or cry.

I knew from the start of my day...
That I should have stayed in bed today...
But I ventured out to get something I needed done anyway...
And I spent hours parked on the side of the highway!

I made it back home eventually as I got a lift…
The first thing I did after I locked my front door was to make myself a sandwich…
I grabbed a drink and dashed up the stairs…
I needed to use the rest room and I was hoping no one was in there.

I sat at my computer eating my breakfast; which was now my lunch…
I started realizing I wasn’t having fun…
I popped a couple of Tylenol to help with my physical pains…
Got in bed with the hopes that what I experienced so far during my day was just a bad dream. P.S. Don’t awaken me!
