Thought and Poem
We don’t hear a lot of good said about our youths today. Mostly when they are mentioned in conversations, it is because they have done something wrong.
But I wonder how different things could be for our young ones if we took the time to help them see that there is “good” in them?

Our youths will become the future adults in our communities. This could and should be a blessing but only if we were to help them reach out for this opportunity.
They say “one bad apple will spoil the bunch,” but I wonder how “one act of kindness or one kind word” could make a difference in how our youths see themselves and their future.

Making a “gift” a “blessing”...
A lot of our youths have been led astray...
Some wonder how they got this way...
It doesn’t have to take a rocket scientist to figure out...
That they may be missing the point of what life is all about.
Life is not all about video games and social internet...
It is not about partying and doing things you will later regret...
Life is about dreaming dreams...
Life is about learning and exploring.
Life is about choosing roads...
And watching opportunities unfold...
But life is only for those who seek to find...
That they might get to enjoy a good life, and not allow life to leave them behind.
Don’t preach...
Don’t brow-beat...
Show by example how exciting life could be...
Show this by being patient and loving.
Our youths were given as gifts...
We need to let them know and feel this...
Because if when young we can’t reach their hearts...
Their lives will be empty because they didn’t know where to start.
