Thought and Poem – June 4, 2015
Have you even had one of those silly moments when you can’t stop laughing and you get to the point where your stomach hurts because you are laughing so hard that your belly starts to wiggle like a bowl of Jell-o? Now…if that isn’t an incentive to lose weight I don’t know what else could motivate me. But we won’t take about dieting or weight today.
I have had many silly experiences during my lifetime. I have found that this silliness seemed to be accompanied by a smile that could last a whole day or longer! I could be far from where the silly moment began and yet still find myself chuckling and smiling at any point during the rest of my day as if I had just lived the experience. It happens.

Now for all of you who have seen me walk around the supermarkets or wherever…you are right…the smile you are seeing is permanent…and no…I am not on medication. It is probably a moment where I am reliving one of my silly moments to myself.
What about you? Have you been there and know what I am talking about? Share your thoughts with us…Jeanne Claire Probst

Silly me…
Have you ever done something silly…
That got you laughing…
Laughing so hard that your belly would wiggle…
Even if only just a little?
And if being silly left you with a smile,
That stayed on your face for a long while
Where you notice people looking at you as if you had two heads as they wonder which planet you are from
You ignore their desires to know and you respond to their stares by sticking out your tongue?
Now this is a silly thing to do
Yet you laugh your head off as you don’t know what got into you
You try to shake off your reaction as a dog shakes off the rain,
Then you wonder if you are really losing your mind as you start laughing again.
Being silly?
Well…yes…indeed…
There is nothing wrong with this…
Unless the smile stays on your face…prolonging its visit!
