TRINITY CHURCH INSTALLS NEW PASTOR
Reverend Valeria Schmidt is Welcomed to Northborough Church
Northborough, MA (June 1, 2015) Trinity Church welcomed Reverend Valeria Schmidt as their new Pastor during an Installation Service held, Sunday, May 31, 2015 at 3pm at Trinity Church, 23 Main Street, Northborough, Massachusetts.
“I am excited to preach God’s word through relevant and timely connections with the Trinity Church Community,” said Reverend Valeria Schmidt. “I strive to combine traditional and contemporary elements in a creative manner that I hope will reach everyone, regardless of their age or background.”
Valeria has been Trinity Church’s Senior Minister since February, 2015. She is enjoying experimenting with different forms of worship (including Contemporary Christian music), spending time with children and youth, and reaching out to the wider community. She is passionate about working towards peace and justice, and protecting our environment. To her, being a church means building stronger relationships with God, with fellow church members, and with all of God’s children.
Valeria lived in many places as a child. Her father was a German diplomat. She received most of her education in Germany. She studied theology at the University of Bonn, Duke University Divinity School and graduated from Humboldt University of Berlin. She was ordained in Germany and served several churches there before being called to her former pastorate for two United Church of Christ Churches in Pennsylvania.
Valeria loves Trinity Church because it is an open, diverse, caring community of people seeking God and trying to make a difference in Northborough and beyond.
Valeria is looking forward to getting to know you. You may contact her at 508-393-8156 or trinitypastorvaleria@gmail.com. Follow her on Twitter @TrinityNorthbor
