What a Relief it is...

Thought and Poem

Thought and Poem – May 18, 2015

There is no doubt about it…getting through each of our days can weigh on our souls as so many of us face difficult times. For myself, I know what a relief it can be to know that a day has ended and that I am still standing on the winning side of living life the best I can.

When we face hard times, so often we do not give ourselves a pat on the back for what we could accomplish during the day. We never see the little things we can do as important and when we look back on what we didn’t get done, it kind of weighs us down.

I wonder where we would be if throughout man’s history some stopped what they were working on because they didn’t get the results they were looking for by the end of their 24 hour day. Would we have a sewing machine, telephone, the wealth of live saving medical techniques we have today?

I for one am happy, that there are still people today who strive to endure each day and share what they have learned with others so that the days ahead will fare better for all.

What about you? Have you benefited from the efforts of those who have endured their days so that they were able to share what they learned with you? Share your thoughts with us…Jeanne Claire Probst

What a Relief it is….

Oh what a relief it is...
To look back on our day at what we have accomplished...
And know we can be proud...
That we made it through and got done what needed to be done somehow.

I think of all the progress I have seen in my life...
That made living healthier and longer to my delight...
And I think of all the solutions we have found...
To help all people the world around.

I think of the knowledge we have gained...
That we can teach to others over and over again...
That makes living less hard to live...
To be inspired to share our skills and gifts.

So as the days continue to go by...
All that is asked of us is to try...
To do what we can for ourselves and our fellow man...
That we might look back on the years we have lived and see how

We braved through each of our days and faced its challenge.
