Book Talk: ” Low Art Tile: John Gardiner Low and the Artists of Boston’s Gilded Age”

Richard Pennington, the author of Low Art Tile – John Gardner Low
& the artists of Boston’s Gilded Age, will speak about the makers of
“Chelsea Tile.” The Low company operated from 1878 until 1904 and was
one of the most successful makers of artistic ceramic products
(fireplace tile surrounds, cast iron stoves, soda fountains) in American
history.
