"The Cobblestone Cure"
North End Restaurant Offers New Year's Day Menu That Caters to Hangovers

While some swear by aspirin and an ice-cold Gatorade, New Year’s Eve hangovers are on a whole different level. Enter the homemade anecdotes on Cobblestone Café’s New Year’s Day breakfast menu, specially prepared to combat the humongous headache and nauseating post- drinking pain. Located in Boston’s North End on Hanover Street, Cobblestone will open at 11:00AM on January 1st, 2016 to serve up its “Cobblestone Cure Menu” featuring three breakfast specials that will restore ones health happiness and maybe even a little pride.
Order up the Morning After featuring steak tips, two eggs any style, home fries and a warm English muffin ($12.50) or try the Hair of the Dog, two eggs any style, cooked with home fries, an English muffin and guest’s choice of sausage, ham or bacon ($9.00)—whatever helps counteract that previous poison. For the ultimate hangover healer, try the Pain Reliever; three eggs any style, three sausage, three bacon strips, home fries and an English muffin ($12.50). All three meals will be served with a side of orange juice or Gatorade to replenish the electrolytes and vitamins lost late last night, but if that’s not enough, accompany one of the hangover cures with a refreshing and rejuvenating cup of coffee available in flavors and brews including regular, decaf, Dakota Roast, French, Hazelnut, Banana Nut Bread, Toffee Caramel, Vanilla-Snickerdoodle, Toasted Almond and White Chocolate Chip. Or, cure the shakes with an actual shake, available in chocolate, vanilla, coffee, strawberry or cookies ‘n cream ($5.99).
In addition to the “Cobblestone Cure” guests can order off of Cobblestone’s lunch or dinner menu including post-drinking classics such as the All American Grilled Cheese, a mega grilled cheese with griddled challah bread ($5.95), the North End Onion Ring BBQ Burger, 100% Prime Angus Juicy Beef Burger with onion rings, pickled onions. cheddar cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato and barbecue sauce ($11.99) and Nonna’s Sicilian Style Pizza available in cheese or pepperoni ($2.00/ $2.50 per slice, $15/$19 per tray).

About Cobblestone Café:
Carla Gomes, owner and general manager of Cobblestone Café, grew up in the North End on her mother’s Italian cooking. Several years after opening two other Italian restaurants in Boston, Antico Forno and Terramia, Carla and her two sons, Robert and David, opened the doors of Cobblestone Café, the newest addition to the North End’s famous Hanover Street. The Cobblestone menu takes a unique spin on a traditional Italian cuisine. The menu includes items such as the breakfast burrito, the New England lobster roll, and hamburgers. The café is also open in the morning for breakfast, hot coffee and specialty flavored iced coffee. It is well-known for its casual setting for a quick stop for a bite to eat, but food is also available for take-out, delivery, and catering. Cobblestone Café in the North End is open Monday – Thursday, 8:00AM – 10:00PM, and Friday – Sunday 8:00AM – 11:00PM. For more information, please visit www.cobblestonene.com.
