“We Made It!”
showcases the unique handmade furniture (and a few non-furniture pieces)
designed and crafted by members of the first graduating class of the MassArt
Furniture Design Certificate Program. The program is a collaboration between
two renowned Boston institutions of learning - MassArt and North Bennet Street
School - to advance students’ abilities to design and build one-of-a-kind
studio furniture.
The free exhibit is open weekdays, 9am to 5pm, from June 11 to July 2nd.
Artists’ Reception:
On Saturday, June 21 from 6 to 8pm, a reception will be held at the gallery to
celebrate the accomplishments of graduates Liz Welch, Sue Muller and Heather
Dawson. Come meet the artists and enjoy
live music, refreshments and a live demonstration of folding furniture
pieces.
