The last two years North Reading has been one of the top teams in the state, going 17-5 behind the running of Matt McCarthy. But McCarthy has graduated and the Hornets will be challenged to repeat their success. Following is the Hornets' fall schedule along with the 2016 records of each opponent.

Fri., Sept. 15, 7 p.m. – Hamilton-Wenham (7-4) at North Reading

Fri., Sept. 22, 7 p.m. – North Reading at Lynn English (2-9)

Fri., Sept. 29, 7 p.m. – Triton (9-3) at North Reading

Sat., Oct. 7, 2 p.m. – North Reading at Pentucket (5-6)

Fri., Oct. 13, 7 p.m. – Masconomet (6-5) at North Reading

Fri., Oct. 20, 7 p.m. – North Reading at Newburyport (4-6)

Oct. 27-28 – Start of MIAA playoffs or continuation of regular season

Thur., Nov. 23, 10:30 a.m. – Lynnfield (6-4) at North Reading
