At its Commencement ceremony on May 6, 2017, Becker College honored 464 candidates for graduation from undergraduate and graduate degree programs and the Accelerated Studies program. Cliff Rucker, owner of the Worcester Railers Hockey Club and president of NFS Leasing, delivered the keynote address.Two North Reading residents were among those graduating: Katelyn MacLean with a Bachelor of Science in Veterinary Science Cum Laude, and Nicholas Granese with a Bachelor of Arts in Interactive Media Design. Founded in 1784, Becker College is a future-focused institution with a post-graduate placement rate for employment, further study, or volunteer service programs that averages more than 90%. Becker serves more than 2,100 students from across the country and around the world. The College offers a wide range of quality degree programs that prepare graduates for the challenges and entrepreneurial opportunities of the 21st century.

The Artisan Market at the Mills is the largest handmade market in North Andover, featuring ~120 artisans and specialty food vendors from all over New England. The 2026 Artisan Market will be held on Sunday, May 31st from 10-3 and is a rain or shine event. The Market will be held in the parking lot behind the West Mill at 50 High St. Ample parking is available directly across the street in the East Mill parking garage. Admission to the market and parking are both FREE. Leashed, well-behaved dogs are welcome!Plenty of food and fun activities for families!

The Temple Emanuel Sisterhood invites the community to Mah Jongg Madness, an afternoon of friendly competition, connection, and fun for Mah Jongg players of all experience levels. 
Open to the public, this community event will feature Mah Jongg play, prizes, table rotations, and opportunities to socialize with friends—both old and new. To encourage engagement and friendly competition, players of varying skill levels will be mixed and tables will rotate throughout the afternoon. Instructions on rules, scoring, and movement will be provided at check-in, along with a brief overview before play begins. Light refreshments will be served.COST:
