Morrill Memorial Library is hosting MBTA' s Mobility Center staff on Tuesday May 12, 2026 from 12pm-2pm on the first floor near the Circulation desk.
Members of the MBTA's Travel Training team, part of the Mobility Center, will be on-site to help individuals apply for reduced fares on subway, bus, commuter rail, ferry, and/or The RIDE available to anyone age 65+, anyone with a documented disability, and anyone who receives a benefit from MassHealth or the Department of Transitional Assistance. Interested individuals should bring photo ID with them to complete the application.
The staff can also assist with Transportation Access Pass. The required documentation is one of the following:
- Disability placard from the Registry of Motor Vehicles
- Current non-MBTA reduced fare card with an expiration date
- Signed letter from an MBTA Travel Trainer on MBTA letterhead
- Medicare, One Care, or Tufts Health Unify Card
- Veteran benefits summary letter on VA letterhead specifying a disability rating of 70% or higher
- Department of Mental Health (DMH) signed verification letter
- Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission (MRC) signed verification letter
