Walter Parks and The Unlawful Assembly return to the Fallout Shelter after a February debut that wowed the room with brilliant, reimagined spirituals and hymns. Longtime sideman to Woodstock legend Richie Havens, Parks leads a band featuring vocalist Ada Dyer, currently touring the world alongside Bruce Springsteen, drummer Steven Williams, and Hammond organ master Michael Bellar. Gospel, blues, and prison work songs collide with swamp holler and shaped-note hymns to create music born of the past and shaped for the present.
The Fallout Shelter is an all ages 100-seat performance venue and state-of-the-art broadcast and recording studio, offering one of the most unique live music experiences in New England. Doors open at 6PM. Beer and wine served. Most shows start at 7pm and end no later than 10pm. General admission seating. Convenient, free parking.
