Woman Fatally Struck by Commuter Rail in Norwood

A woman is dead after being struck by a commuter rail train in Norwood Friday evening, Transit Police said.

The unidentified woman, about 50, police said, was hit around 8:20 p.m. She was struck by an outbound Franklin Line train in the vicinity of the Guild Street Overpass.

Foul play is not suspected, authorities said.
