Ernie Boch Jr Plays Secret Santa For Toys "R" Us Shoppers

DEDHAM, MA — About 20 families received quite a shock when they arrived at the Dedham Toys "R" Us on Route 1 this week and discovered that someone paid the debts for their layaway items.

The mysterious Secret Santa spotted the tab of $6,000 for the families. The person wanted to remain anonymous but word has leaked out about who he is.

So who is the mysterious stranger that's helping families this holiday season?

Reluctantly, Norwood resident and known car magnate Ernie Boch Jr. has admitted to being one who paid for the gifts. He told WBZ that it's a great thing to do and hopefully he won't be the last to engage in the act of kindness.

Toys "R" Us officials say there is a second anonymous donor in their store who paid $5,000 to cover the costs of gifts for 15 families.
