Help local letter carriers stamp out hunger on Saturday, May 14th
Most important food drive of the year for Norwood Food Pantry.

On Saturday, May 14th, the 24th annual Letter Carriers’ Food Drive will take place in Norwood. And local volunteers are hoping everyone on their postal routes who’s able to will participate. Norwood residents who wish to participate are asked to leave one or more bags of food by their mailbox. Donations will then be picked up as carriers go about their regular rounds. All types of non-perishable food – from peanut butter and jelly to soup and cereal…canned vegetables and tomatoes to cake and brownie mix…baked beans to boxed meals like Hamburger Helper and Pasta Roni – are welcome. But right now, the Norwood Food Pantry especially needs Spam, beef stew, solid white tuna, and other canned meat; canned fruit and bottled juice; and canned pasta like Chef Boyardee. The only requirement is that all cans and boxes must be new and in good condition, as anything outdated or opened has to be thrown away for health reasons.
