Here Comes Santa Claus to Norwood

NORWOOD, MA — A large man in a red suit was reported running across Norwood Friday afternoon, with the support of the police department.

Despite a busy scheduled and a planned dash around the world, Santa Claus stopped in Norwood for a few hours, greeting children and walking across town.

Starting at the Blach School, St. Nick made his way to the center of down and through the uptown area for about an hour, before leaving for this weekend's big night.

"Thank you for coming out and having some fun with Santa and Officer Mahoney this afternoon! We enjoyed seeing the looks of excitement and joy on the faces of adults and children alike as we made our way through town. Hope to bring this event back next year," the department wrote on Facebook.
