Make a Difference with Messages of Hope

Come to the Westwood Senior Center and join with community members of all ages in writing uplifting messages to teens who are struggling

On Sunday, February 26th at 1 PM, the IAM Strong Foundation, with the support of the Westwood Council on Aging, will host Messages of Hope. Drop by the Westwood Senior Center on Nahatan Street in Westwood between 1 and 3 PM and create a message of support for those who need it. Write a note, draw a picture, or create a poem for teens who are struggling. The messages will be delivered to teens who are hospitalized, or shared online or in print. Drawing materials and note cards will be provided, and refreshments will be served.

Last year’s Messages of Hope was a community building, uplifting event resulting in cards and notes that made a difference for teens at Bournewood Hospital and Westwood Lodge.

The IAM Strong Foundation, which seeks to shatter the stigma of mental health struggles in adolescents, is proud to host this special opportunity to make a difference. Messages of Hope is open to everyone, of all ages. For more information about the IAM Strong Foundation, go to www.iamstrongfoundation.org.
