Norwood resident Saipriya Valoth graduates from The Rivers School in Weston

Norwood resident Saipriya S. Valoth was one of 90 students to graduate from The Rivers School in Weston on Friday, June 12.

WESTON, MA— Norwood resident Saipriya S. Valoth was one of 90 students to graduate from The Rivers School in Weston on Friday, June 12. A high honor roll student, Saipriya was a Spanish teaching assistant and received the Otto Alcaide Language Prize for Spanish at Prize Day, where she was elected to the Cum Laude Society. A member of the school’s Conservatory Program, she was a jazz pianist with the Big Band and received an award from the Massachusetts Association for Jazz Education last year. She was a member of the Gay Straight Alliance and editor of the school’s literary magazine, The Current. The daughter of Sajin Valoth and Namita Sarawagi, she will attend Barnard College in the fall.
