NORWOOD, MA — A Norwood woman was arrested after police said she was caught with more than 80 grams of fentanyl. Jacqueline Cieri, 32, was arraigned Friday in Dedham District Court and charged with trafficking fentanyl.

Police said they obtained a warrant to search Cieri's Winter Street home and car Thursday morning following an investigation by the Norfolk County Police Anti-Crime Task Force. Officers seized more than 80 grams of fentanyl and about $20,000 in cash, police said.

One kilogram of fentanyl is enough to kill 500,000 people, according to the U.S. Department of Justice. The amount Cieri was accused of possessing is enough to kill 40,000, based on that measure.
