SCS Girls' Basketball Team wins 2nd Archdiocesan Championship

On Saturday, March 17th, St. Catherine of Siena School Girls' A Basketball Team won their first game against Our Lady of the Assumption in Lynnfield, MA. Their game was played at Westwood High School and ended with a score of 42 to 12. On Sunday, in the final round, St. Catherine School Girls' A Team played a nail-biting game versus Immaculate Conception School from Newburyport, MA. The final score of 40-30 resulted in a 2nd Championship Trophy for Norwood's St. Catherine girls' team. The girls are the champions for the South Shore Archdiocesan league. Congratulations to Erin Sullivan, Mary Kate Kenny, Danielle Gillette, Tressa Murphy, Cece Venditti, Jillian Rogala, Olivia Bedard, Samantha Rogala, Caroline Galvin and Diana Wood. This team moves onto the regionals which will be held starting on April 6th in Waterbury, CT. Good luck girls!
