SCS Students Excel in National Spanish Exam

Saint Catherine of Siena School Students Excel in National Spanish Exam

FELICITATIONES!

Grade 8 students from Saint Catherine of Siena School recently achieved national recognition for excellent performance on the 2018 National Spanish Examinations. Of the 34 students who took the exams, these students earned a total of one gold, two silver, and five bronze medals along with 12 honorable mentions. According to Kevin Cessna-Buscemi, National Director of the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese which sponsors the contest, over 150,000 students participated this year. For the past three years in which our students have competed, Saint Catherine’s students have won medals and honorable mentions. Congratulations to our students and their teacher, Senora Pelaggi.
