St Catherine School Launches New Soccer Program
New Boys & Girls Soccer Teams at St Catherine of Siena School in Norwood have impressive first games against other local private schools.

St. Catherine’s Boys’ & Girls’ Middle School Soccer teams have racked up recent wins with their first games of the season. On September 14th, the boys’ team had a victory over the Rashi School in Dedham (5-2) and on September 28th, the St. Catherine girls’ team won its first game with a score of 6-2. These victories mark the launch of the program’s inaugural season. Members on the boys’ team coached by Tom Dolan of Norwood include Chris Nelson, Neo Getgano, Matthew Iantosca, Shane Toomey, Michael Walsh, Neo Getgano Joshua Cueco, Brandon and Daniel DaSilva, Axel Ekberg & goalkeeper, Jack Curran. The girls’ team, also coached by Tom Dolan, includes Caroline Galvin, Stephany Pinto, Olivia Bedard, Maggie Curran, Erin O'Keefe, CeCe Venditti, Ava Petrosino, Keegan, McCarthy, Elizabeth Cardini, Kerry McMullan and goalkeeper, Katherine Rogers.
The St. Catherine’s Middle School Interscholastic Athletic Program features four new programs for the 2016-2017 school year – boys’ and girls’ soccer in the fall, and baseball and softball in the spring. These program allow St. Catherine Middle School students the opportunity to be on multiple teams to further advance their skills in these two sports. They compete with independent private schools in the local area. The teams are open to all students in grades 6-8.
