University Station (www.shopuniversitystation.com) in Westwood will present an Art Stroll with Cupcakes & Cocoa on Sunday, November 22 from 12noon to 2pm. The exhibition is sponsored by Fidelity Investments. Everyone is invited to meet at the exhibit and sample free cupcakes and cocoa provided by Wegmans, while enjoying the art exhibition. The complimentary, self-guided art exhibition celebrates women empowerment by highlighting the artworks of distinguished international and local women artists. The exhibition is free and open to the public and is located at the University Station between Target and Wegmans under the pergola. Artists Exhibiting: One of the artists, Boston’s Diana Stelin's works of captivating expressionist landscapes are featured in the exhibition. Ms. Stelin will be at the Cupcakes & Cocoa event. Her artwork has garnered international attention. Ms. Stelin strips down and reconstructs traditional notions of landscape painting, using the medium of paint as the subject itself. Blurring the lines between imagery and surface, her work frequently turns borderline abstract, yet is always centered on a theme of her surroundings. Diana Stelin lives and works in Boston. She received a BFA in Visual Arts from Cornell University in 2001, followed by an MS in Arts Administration from Boston University in 2007. Other interesting and awarded international artists exhibiting include: Gladys Ortiz, Colombia; her work was the cover page of the international magazine PEI magazine for October 2015. Thidarat Chantachua, who just was just awarded UOB Painter of 2015 in Thailand to represent Thailand in the Southeast Asian Painter of 2015. Malini Mansukhani, India; Marcela Carvalho, Brazil and Gita Levy, Israel.
