Election 2020 Peabody Results: Biden Edges Trump

Beverly voters chose the Biden-Harris ticket over Trump-Pence in Tuesday's presidential election.

PEABODY, MA — Peabody voters went former Vice President Joe Biden over President Donald Trump — by a narrower margin than the rest of the state — according to unofficial results.

Peabody voters also went with winners Ed Markey in the U.S. Senate race, Seth Moulton in the U.S. House of Representatives race, and backed Republican Robert May in his failed bid for the 13th Essex State Representative seat.

While voters choice to support the "Right to Repair" ballot question, Peabody was overwhelmingly against "Ranked Choice Voting."

In the presidential race, Peabody voters backed the Biden-Kamala Harris ticket with 14,811 votes (54.8 percent) to the Trump-Mike Pence ticket with 11,582 votes (42.9 percent).

Markey received 15,552 votes (57.4 percent) to Republican challenger Kevin O'Connor's 10,675 (39.5 percent).

Moulton received 16,066 votes (59.5 percent) to Republican challenger John Paul Moran's 10,075 (37.3 percent).

May received 3,592 votes to Democrat Sally Kerans' 2,811 in a five-way race for the 13th Essex seat. Kerans won the race thanks to strong support in Middleton and the eight Danvers precincts.

Peabody voters overwhelmingly supported the "Right to Repair" ballot question with 19.307 "Yes" votes to 6,654 "No" votes.

But voters in the city overwhelmingly rejected "Ranked Choice Voting" with 17,149 voting "No" and 8,303 voting "Yes."
