Free Thanksgiving Meals In Beverly, Lynn, Peabody, Salem

Those in need are invited to these locations for a Thanksgiving meal this holiday season.

PEABODY, MA — Several North Shore organizations and locations are once again providing free meals to residents in need this Thanksgiving season.

Because of the coronavirus health crisis, some venues may be offering take-out-only instead of sit-down meals for the second year in a row.

Citizens Inn Haven for Hunger at 71 Wallis Street in Peabody will be offering Thanksgiving meals from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on the holiday. Citizens Inn was hoping to have a sit-down meal this year as of early November, but that is subject to renovations and updated coronavirus guidelines.

Brother's Deli at 41 Market Street in Lynn is offering takeout Thanksgiving meals from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

My Brother's Table at 98 Willow Street in Lynn is providing to-go meals from noon to 6 p.m. for individuals and families. Extra to-go meals will be available for people to bring to family, friends and neighbors in need.

The Friends of Salem Council on Aging is providing home delivery to those residents of Salem in need. To sign up for a meal, contact Rosanna Donahue at the Council at 978-744-0924 by Nov. 22. Brother's Taverna is working with the Council to provide the dinners.

Ellis Square Friends of the United Methodist Church at 2 Dane Street in Beverly will provide to-go meals at noon on Thanksgiving Day. Those in need must sign up in advance by Nov. 19 by texting or calling 978-601-3201 or by emailing ellissquarefriends@gmail.com.

Gina's Giving Back also provides meals for people to cook in their own homes. To arrange for a meal email Gina at ginam75@icloud.com with a name, address, phone number and number of people in your household by Nov. 19. Singles in need of a "heat and eat" meal can also arrange for one through Gina.
