Holidays Light Up Peabody on Saturday

Peabody's Holiday Stroll and Tree Lighting is scheduled for this Saturday.

Mayor Edward A. Bettencourt Jr. is inviting the public to celebrate Small Business Saturday with a Holiday Stroll, Cookie Crawl, Tree Lighting and Festivities for all throughout the day on Saturday, Nov. 28.

There is a wide array of activities planned throughout the day from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., capped off by the caroling and tree lighting with a visit from Santa at City Hall at 4 p.m.

Some of the highlights of the day include:

As you stroll through downtown, look for Olaf’’s look-a-like and visit local businesses to fill your Small Business Saturday bag with holiday cookies, confections and coupons from local bake shops and businesses. One confection per location, per bag. $5 donation benefits the Haven from Hunger food pantry. No other purchase necessary. Ten lucky winners will receive a gift card valued at $25. Bags can be purchased at the Peabody Area Chamber of Commerce, 24 Main Street.
