Kid-Friendly Fun: Skate Park and YMCA

Take advantage of time with your kids and get out and enjoy these hot spots. Your Patch Passport gives you options for great local spots for kid-friendly fun.

If you’re a skateboarder or do tricks on your bicycle, the Skate Park on Perkins Street is the perfect place to show off your moves on the park’s ramps, box pyramids, vertical bowls and rails.

Best of all, it’s free. The park is open daily from dawn to dusk.

The park is located right behind and across the street from the playground at the James Street Park. It’s convenient for middle school students as well, with the right down the hill. There’s also a Facebook group open for anyone to join who rides at the skate park.
