Man Arrested for Trafficking Cocaine
A 31-year-old Lawrence man is scheduled to be arraigned on Monday after a trooper from the Andover barracks arrested him on drug trafficking

A 31-year-old Lawrence man is scheduled to be arraigned on Monday after a trooper from the Andover barracks arrested him on drug trafficking charges over the weekend.
Trooper Chanel Moreau of the State Police Barracks in Andover stopped a GMC Terrain just after 2 p.m., Saturday Methuen for motor vehicle violations, according to state police. The operator was identified as Miguel A. Neris, 31, of Lawrence.
As a result of an investigation, the man was found to be in possession of approximately 20 grams of what is believed to be cocaine, and a sum of cash believed to be from the purchase and sale of narcotics.

Neris was placed under arrest and charged with several offenses including trafficking in cocaine, possession to distribute cocaine and Improper use of a mobile phone. He was held on $10,000 bail pending arraignment in Lawrence District Court.
