PEABODY, MA — Kids who attend the North Shore Children's Museum this weekend will be invited to help make a Peabody senior's Valentine's Day a bit happier through the museum's Queen of Hearts Valentine's Day program.

Attendees will be invited to make cards for the Peter A. Torigian Senior Center. A card-making session will be set up starting Friday morning at 10:30 and be open throughout the weekend. The cards will then be delivered to the Senior Center next week.

"The Peabody Council on Aging would like to thank the staff members of the Children's Museum for coming up with the idea to give handmade Valentine cards from children to the older adults that come to our senior center," Senior Center Director Carolyn Wynn said.

Museum Executive Director Ali Haydock said that the Queen of Hearts program fulfills the museum's mission by both providing a fun, interactive and learning experience for young children as well as giving back to the North Shore community.

"It's important for children to know they are part of a larger community with intergenerational supports," Haydock said. "We look forward to even more partnerships between the Senior Center and the NSCM."
