Peabody To Host Coronavirus Vaccination Clinics

PEABODY, MA — The Peabody Health Department will hold a series of coronavirus vaccination clinics for residents 75 or older, as well as those eligible in Phase One of the state's rollout who live or work in the city, starting on Monday.

The Peabody Health Department said that it was notified this weekend the city had received additional doses for this week and opened more slots for Monday. Appointments for clinics 0n Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday were on Monday.

Proof of eligibility is required prior to receiving the vaccine.

Residents who receive an appointment are asked not to register for multiple clinics. Residents put on a waitlist will be contacted if a spot becomes available and are asked not to simply show up.

Those 75 or older who need assistance with registration can call the Peabody Council on Aging at 978-531-2254 Monday through Friday.

Those being vaccinated are asked to wear clothing that provides easy access to the upper arm and not to arrive more than five minutes ahead of the appointment time. Everyone must wear a mask and maintain social distancing.
