Peabody Woman is "Living Proof"

"Living Proof" portraits will be on display until May 25 at the museum.

Cancer survivor and 10-year Pan-Mass Challenge bike rider Carol Cormier of Peabody is featured in a photo exhibition at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston.

Images of her are featured in “PMC Living Proof Portrait Project’ at the Museum of Fine Art Museum in Boston.

Cormier was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2005. She said the Pan-Mass Challenge has given her the courage to pay it forward and remember what she has been through. Each year, she rides with names on her back. She had over 50 names on her back during last year’s ride.

The PMC raises money through an annual bike ride each year since 1980 for cancer treatment and research at Dana-Farber Institute. The photographs feature PMC riders and cancer survivors who are “Living Proof” of the PMC mission to find a cure for cancer.

The photographs were taken by Michael Casey of Wellesley. “Living Proof” portraits will be on display until May 25 at the museum.
