Peabody YMCA's Angel Tree To Benefit North Shore Families
The Peabody location is accepting donations of books, clothing and toys from a child's wish list, as well as money for YMCA scholarships.

PEABODY, MA — The YMCA of Metro North Peabody branch is one of several on the North Shore accepting donations and distributing gifts and YMCA scholarships to area families in need.
The Peabody branch will host its annual Angel Tree where those participating can select an angel from the tree and then purchase books, clothing and toys from a child's holiday gift wish list. Donors can also choose to provide a child with a YMCA youth development, summer camp, swim lesson or educational program scholarships.

"For some children, these may be the only gifts they receive this holiday season," YMCA of Metro North President explains Kathleen Walsh said. "Our holiday drives have always been a great success. Whether it's toys, gifts, donations, or coats, our community is always stepping up with their generosity to help when people need them the most."
Branches in Lynn and Stoneham will conduct coat drives, while blood drives are planned for Lynn and Melrose locations.
