Police: Accident Leads to Drunk Driving Arrest; UPS Driver Fell Asleep Waiting For His Wife at the Mall; Stolen Motorcycle Reported

Monday, June 29

At 2:42 p,m., motor vehicle stop on Bartholomew Street in the area of Bartholomew Terrace. operator was issued a citation for speeding. Joanne V. Marino, 49, of Lynn, arrested on a warrant.

At 3:17 p.m., motor vehicle accident in area of Chandlers Ice Cream on Andover Street. James E. Hogan, 45, of Peabody, arrested for operating under the influence, impeded operation, and failure to take care in operation of a motor vehicle.

At 3:59 p.m., three detained shoplifters at JCPenney. Store will handle.

At 6:45 p.m., motor vehicle stop in area of jughandle south/Newbury Street. Eduardo Venturaperez, 31, Lynn, arrested for unlicensed operation, subsequent offense, and vehicle equipment violation.

Tuesday, June 30

At 10:46 a.m., traffic hazard on Andover Street. Sergeant reported that it appeared that a sinkhole was starting to form in the area. DPW was notified.

At 12:37 p.m., stolen motorcycle reported on Putnam Street. The lock was cut, and a blue motorcycle was stolen.

At 1:36 p.m., suspicious activity at Northshore Mall. Caller reported that there was a male that was in the kid’s play area that appeared to be under the influence. He was wearing an orange backpack and a brown UPS hat. He left the area with a female and was last seen walking towards the front of the mall. Officer reported that the man was a UPS driver who fell asleep waiting for his wife.
