R.I. Man Arrested, Summons for Wakefield Man After Police Bust Drug Deal

Friday, May 25
- 2:45 p.m. Ryan P. Maglione, 21, of 12 Butternut Ave., Peabody, was arrested in Salem on three warrants after Peabody officers learned he was heading to a residence in Salem.
- 3:58 p.m. Thomas M. Amenkowicz, 41, of 9 Essex Ave. #3, Lynn, was arrested in Lynn by a Peabody detective on a straight warrant out of . The charges were for breaking and entering and larceny.
- 8:04 p.m. Pedro Sanchez, 21, of 61 Fales St. #1, Central Falls, R.I., was arrested, following a motor vehicle stop in the parking lot at the . He was charged with distributing a class A drug and a drug violation near a school or park. A 34-year-old Wakefield man was also issued a summons for possession of a class A drug. Class A substances include heroin and other opiates.
Saturday, May 26
- 4:19 p.m. Joseph H. Boyd, 65, of 30 Abington Rd., Danvers, was arrested, following a motor vehicle stop at the corner of Lowell Street and Edgehill Road. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol (second offense), failure to stop or yield and a marked lanes violation. Police had received a report of a beige Mazda Protege that ran a stop sign and struck a curb.
- 10:09 p.m. Jefferson G. Padilha, 30, of 13 Foster St. #2, Salem, was arrested, following a motor vehicle stop on Main Street. He was charged with driving with a revoked license and a lights violation.
Monday, May 28
- 9:07 a.m. Adam P. Trufant, 33, of 46 Linden Rd., Peabody, was arrested at his residence, following a report of a domestic incident. He was charged with domestic assault and battery and intimidating a witness.
- 12:03 p.m. Jairo Desouza, 46, of 32 Collins St., Peabody, was arrested, following a motor vehicle stop on Harris Street. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and failure to display the owner's name.
