The Magic U16 team includes "Twin Towers" of Plymouth North: Jack and Owen Murphy.

Bay State Magic, a local AAU basketball team recently played their way to an automatic bid for the AAU national tournament. Magic recently took second place at the Division 1 BABC State Championship. The Magic U16 team, under the auspices of Barnstable High’s JV coach Chuck Kipnes, is currently trying to raise funds for travel and accommodation to Florida to compete in the Nationals. The team has already raised $6,000 out of a targeted $10,000 to cover projected expenses. In additional to several players from other South Shore and Cape communities, Plymouth North’s own “Twin Towers," Jack and Owen Murphy, are proud to be a part of the team. All expenses will be covered through the fund raising efforts of the team’s players. Anyone who would like to help these deserving boys realize their dream of playing in the Nationals can contact Chuck Kipnes at 508-737-8065 or email the coach at chuckkipnes@comcast.net.
