Despite today's weather summer is marching along and will be with us soon. The harbor is taking on its seasonal appearance of boats here, there and everywhere.
Not all boats are in the same state of readiness. Some are still wrapped liked its winter, some are breaking free of their cold weather covers and some are poised to have their covers quickly rolled back down in the event of a late season weather event.
No doubt in time the harbor will be full once again for that, oh so brief, yet delightful New England season of sunny skies and temperate water. I doubt however the harbor will be so full this year as to look like it did on June 13, 1957, the day Mayflower II arrived from England.
