Great News for Plymouth
The town of Plymouth recently received more than $1.58 million in funding for infrastructure improvements.
My district is home to some of the strongest communities in the Commonwealth and I have been working hard to ensure that the Plymouth and Barnstable District has the support it needs to move forward, expand and attract business, and create jobs. As part of this effort, the town of Plymouth recently received more than $1.58 million in funding for infrastructure improvements.
This is great news for Plymouth and $1.55 of that funding was secured in the supplemental budget to expand the traffic capacity of Commerce Way. These improvements will widen part of Commerce Way to accommodate and attract further developments.
This will serve as a great economic development asset for the community and, as our economic base continues to expand, we need to ensure that our roads and other infrastructure will support our efforts to attract businesses and jobs to the area.

Plymouth also received more than $38,000 in funding for infrastructure improvements at Town Wharf. In its current condition, all traffic, commercial or excursion boats have been moved to one pier creating numerous safety hazards with the current docking conditions. This funding will go a long way in ensuring that all Plymouth has to offer can be enjoyed for years to come.
