Seven Basic Chakras
An explanation of what Chakras are what they represent. How routine Reiki treatments and balancing and cleaning of the Chakras can help you to feel more healthy and energized.
The word chakra is derived from the Sanskrit word meaning wheel. Most Reiki practitioners are able to see the chakras some see a wheel of energy continuously revolving or rotating, some see them as large crystals and some see them as large flowers with a center. The chakras begin at the base of the spine and finish at the top of the head. Even though they are fixed in the central spinal column they are located on both the front and back of the body, and project outward around a persons’ body in a circle.
Each chakra vibrates or rotates, and each is stimulated by its own and complimentary color, each chakra also have crystals that help stimulate and heal them as well. The chakra colors are of the rainbow; red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet. The size and brightness of the wheels vary with individual development, physical condition, energy levels, disease, or stress. I can usually tell which chakra a person is working on by the color clothes they are wearing.
If the chakras are not balanced, or if the energies are blocked, the basic life force will be slowed down. The individual may feel listless, tired, out of sorts, or depressed. Not only will physical bodily functions be affected so diseases may manifest, but the thought processes and the mind may also be affected. A negative attitude, fear, doubt, etc. may preoccupy the individual.
When I give a client a thirty minute session I usually balance and clean each chakra to assist them in their mind, body and spirit wellness. I usually picture each one as a large jewel and I can see if they are dirty and need to be cleaned. With my mind I clean them run pure water over them and start them spinning again. When I do this I am never alone I always have my spirit guides to assist me and help me with this process. The following is a description of each chakra and what they represent.

Reiki is a Japanese word meaning “universal life energy” The human body is more than just a collection of the functioning parts. It is a flowing energy field, continuously changing and restructuring itself. All conditions of physical disease are rooted in this energy system. Disease is not separate from the body; it is the body out of balance. Reiki provides us with a simple yet powerful means to recharge, realign and balance our energy field. Restoring balance creates optimal conditions needed for healing. Reiki stimulates the body to heal alone or in combination with other healing modalities. Every human being has the capacity to learn to use Reiki. To be able to use Reiki for yourself and others, channels must be opened in the body. This opening process is preformed as an attunement by a trained Reiki master. Once you are attuned, Reiki will always be a part of your life. Reiki is a loving healing energy that is pulled from below (mother earth) and above (the heavens) into a person’s heart chakra where is swirls and mixes and travels down the arms and out the hands to the person to whom they are trying to assist and heal. Reiki expands awareness and accelerates personal and spiritual growth.
