Coronavirus: Public Rallies Around Plymouth Hospital

With a shorter of supplies for health care workers amid the coronavirus pandemic, town businesses and students have made donations.

PLYMOUTH, MA β€” With hospitals throughout the region struggling to keep up with the demand for equipment during the coronavirus pandemic, several Plymouth businesses and schools have come together to make donations to Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Plymouth. On Monday, the hospital thanked some of the groups that have come together to help the community and healthcare workers in time of great need.

"Thank you to this amazing community for supporting our #healthcareheroes with donations of face masks, face shields, hand sanitizer, goggles and much more," Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Plymouth posted on its Facebook page. "You've looked in your garages, supply rooms, and even converted a distillery into a hand sanitizer production facility, and it means the world to us!
