Duxbury Man With Giant Weapons Cache Impersonated Cop: Police

Duxbury police said Christopher Barlow impersonated a police officer while armed with a trunkful of guns and ammunition.

DUXBURY, MA — A 20-year-old Duxbury man was arrested on charges he impersonated a police officer while possessing a giant weapons cache, police announced Tuesday. Christopher Barlow was arrested by local and federal authorities in Plymouth Monday. He was held on $250,000 bail.

Barlow was charged with impersonating a police officer, illegal possession of a firearm and possession of an incendiary device. Police said Barlow obtained fraudulent identification to impersonate a police officer and purchased parts to construct several guns. He was arrested after a "lengthy" investigation involving Massachusetts State Police, Connecticut State Police, Easton, Connecticut police, the FBI and ATF. Police said they searched his residence and vehicle and seized a trunkful of weapons and ammunition.

In court Tuesday, prosecutors said Barlow worked as an EMT for the volunteer fire department in Easton, Connecticut, according to CBS Boston. He had multiple fraudulent identification cards, including those indicating he was with Homeland Security, the Coast Guard and the Easton, Connecticut, police department, prosecutors added.
