Plymouth North Sports Roundup: Wrestler, Track Star Compete in All-State Competitions
Playoff bound Plymouth North hockey ends the regular season with a tie. Two Plymouth North athletes will compete this weekend in All-State Championships.

The playoff-bound Plymouth North hockey squad will find out Saturday who it will face in the first round of the 2011 MIAA tournament. In the meantime, the Eagles hosted the Sandwich Blue Knights Monday in their final game of the season. The Eagles skated away with a 2-2 tie and will enter the tournament sporting an overall record of 12-4-4. Check Monday’s sports roundup for the Eagles’ first round tournament pairing and schedule.
Plymouth North boys basketball needed a win against Scituate on Monday to keep the tournament dreams alive. The Eagles poured in a season high 68 points, however the Scituate Sailors still managed to tarnish the Eagles’ postseason hopes, defeating Plymouth North 77-68.
The MIAA All State Indoor Track and Field Championship will be held Saturday at the Reggie Lewis Center in Boston. Dan Gordon will represent Plymouth North against some of the state’s finest runners.

The MIAA All State Wrestling Championship will also take place this Friday and Saturday at Salem High School. Senior wrestler John Dee will represent Plymouth North.
