PLYMOUTH, MA — A pilot who crashed a small plane at Plymouth Airport Saturday afternoon was expected to survive.

The man, who was not identified, was seriously hurt.

He was piloting a Beachcraft 55 Baron aircraft when he crashed upon takeoff at about 1:30 p.m. The plane landed on its roof. The pilot was the only one aboard.
He was transported by medical helicopter to Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston.
