Plymouth South Sports Roundup: Feb. 18

Panthers' hockey has won five of their last seven games. Plymouth South basketball will face rival Plymouth North later this week.

The Plymouth South hockey team had won five or its last six games coming into Wednesday evening’s game against the Nauset Warriors. However Nauset proved to have the upper hand against the Panthers, beating Plymouth South 2-1.  The 10-7-1 Panthers will play away against Carver/Sacred Heart this Saturday at 7 p.m.  Plymouth South will finish their season at home against Carver/Sacred Heart Feb. 23.  After that, the Panthers will begin the MIAA tournament.    

The Panthers’ boys basketball team lost by one point Tuesday, falling to Nauset 54-53. The loss dropped the Panthers’ overall record to 6-14. The team will play home  Saturday against Plymouth North at 6:30 p.m. The Eagles beat the Panthers by nine points the last time the two teams met Jan. 17.

 Plymouth South’s girls basketball team defeated Nauset Regional this past Tuesday 67-41. The win improved the Panthers season record to 6-7. The Plymouth South ladies tried to even their season record when they face Bridgewater-Raynham-stay tuned for updates. Plymouth South will play home against Plymouth North Saturday at 5 p.m.
