Plymouth South Sports Roundup: Playoffs Begin Tonight.

Plymouth South faces off against Plymouth North in the quarterfinals of the Division II South MIAA tournament. The Lady Panthers look to extend their winning streak into the first round of the tournement tonight.

Things do not get more exciting for Plymouth hockey fans.

The Plymouth South Panthers will face off against the Plymouth North Eagles in this year’s Division II South MIAA tournament. The 12-4-2 Eagles and the 12-7-1 Panthers both drew byes from the first round of the tournament and are slated to face each other in the quarterfinals. 

The Panthers are 1-1 in two games against the Eagles this year. The first meeting between the two squads happened Jan. 19 when the Eagles skated away with an impressive 6-2 victory. However the Panthers, turned the tables on the Eagles later in the season, defeating Plymouth North by the same 6-2 score in their second meeting in February.

The MIAA is yet to announce the date, time and location for the game. 

After an impressive winning streak to end their regular season, the Plymouth South girls basketball team will Newton North tonight in the preliminary round of the Division I South MIAA tournament. Newton North comes into the game with an 11-8 overall record. The winner will play at 7pm in New Bedford Wednesday. New Bedford is a perfect 20-0 so far this season.
