Plymouth Water Ban Lifted
Breaking: Plymouth water ban lifted as Tropical Storm Hermine drenches the region.
PLYMOUTH, MA — An emergency water ban in Plymouth has been lifted, town officials announced Tuesday. Plymouth has been in a severe drought most of the summer, forcing officials to institute the ban. But Tropical Storm Hermine drenched the region Monday and Tuesday; more rain is possible Wednesday.
Mandatory water restrictions are still in effect in Plymouth:
- Water use is restricted to 1 hour every other day between the hours of 5 a.m. to 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
- Even-number houses are permitted to use outdoor water for no more than one hour on even-number days only.
- Odd-number houses are permitted to use outdoor water for no more than one hour on odd-number days only.
