Police Say Women in Quincy Robbery Involved in Braintree Case

Police say they recovered items stolen in Braintree were found in a vehicle used in the alleged robbery.

QUINCY, MA —Two women charged in a Quincy robbery now faces charges out of Braintree, authorities said.

Jennifer L. Donahue, 44, was arraigned last week and ordered held on $20,000 bail, but the Norfolk County District Attorney's office moved to have her bail revoked on an open case and she will be held for 90 days without bail, the DA's office told the Weymouth News.

Police say Donahue and Cheryl Whittemore, 46, of Quincy, allegedly stole a pocketbook from a woman who was walking from her vehicle to her apartment building on City View Lane. The two are believed to be connected to similar incidents in Weymouth, Braintree and Saugus.

The two were arrested in Weymouth after a Braintree police officer found a Nissan Pathfinder that was wanted in multiple robberies. A check with the RMV revealed the car was stolen.

After the arrest, police recovered two laptops and inside the car, police found three screwdrivers, four checks, one pair of black boots and one pair of black gloves that police say were either stolen or evidence from Braintree cases.

Both women are due back in court Feb. 24.
