Police Searching for Vehicle That Struck State Police Cruiser in Hit-and-Run
Police say the hit-and-run took place on Piermont Street.

From the Quincy Police Department:
On Jan. 31 at about 11:24 p.m., Quincy police officers were dispatched to Piermont Street for a motor vehicle hit and run. Upon arrival, officers advised dispatch that an unoccupied, marked state police cruiser was struck causing severe damage to the rear-passenger side of the cruiser. The suspect vehicle fled down Piermont Street, towards Granger Street, and out onto Harvard Street. The fleeing vehicle is described as a dark colored Chevrolet dump truck. There was no plow attached to the front of the vehicle, but possibly a sander on the back.
The suspect vehicle should have heavy front end-drivers side damage. If you own a business or live in the area, and have a video surveillance system, please take a moment to see if your camera captured anything. Own or work at an auto body shop? Please keep an eye out for a truck arriving with damage consistent with this crash.
