Quincy Couple Charged With Cocaine, Fentanyl Trafficking

Quincy police said Henrique Pereira, 22, and Hanna Adams, 18, operated a drug operation out of a Franklin Street residence.

QUINCY, MA — Two Quincy residents are facing drug charges after Quincy police said more than 66 grams of white powder believed to be fentanyl and cocaine were found, along with more than 350 pills believed to be various drugs, during the search of a Franklin Street residence on Saturday. Henrique Pereira, 22, and Hanna Adams, 18, are both charged with trafficking fentanyl and cocaine, and other drug offenses.

Quincy police said a two-month investigation into Pereira's possible connection to fentanyl sales in the city led to a search warrant being granted for his home. Police said Pereira was detained during a traffic stop Saturday afternoon and detectives went to the home to execute the warrant.

Police said when they arrived at the Franklin Street residence, Adams, who they said is Pereira's girlfriend, ran toward the kitchen in what detectives believed might be an attempt to destroy evidence or get a weapon. She was placed in handcuffs and the home was searched.
