Quincy Man Admits To Child Porn Possession

It's the second time Nicholas Oslander will serve time behind bars for possessing child pornography.

QUINCY, MA — A Quincy man with a history of owning child pornography admitted in U.S. District Court in Boston to a new charge.

Nicholas Oslander, 68, pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography. He is scheduled to be sentenced for Nov. 16. Oslander was charged and arrested in March 2017, according to the U.S. Attorney's office.

Oslander was arrested inside his Quincy home in December following an investigation into the online trade of child pornography through peer to peer networks. Forensic analysis of digital devices seized during the search revealed hundreds of images of child pornography.

In 2000, Oslander pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography and was sentenced to 30 months in prison.

Oslander faces at least 10 years in prison due to his prior federal conviction. His latest charge comes with a prison term of up to 20 years, five years of probation, and a fine up to $250,000.
